Single Flute Endmill (Left Helix, Right Hand Cut)
Designed to overcome clamping and finishing challenges on thin or flexible materials, this single-flute end mill combines a right-hand cut with a left helix geometry. This specific inverted configuration exerts a downward axial thrust during the cutting action: the resulting down-force stabilises the workpiece against the worktable, preventing lifting, harmful vibrations, or the slippage of smaller components, even without high-power vacuum fixture systems.
The left helix directs the swarf towards the bottom of the slot, ensuring a perfectly clean top edge of the panel, burr-free and entirely clear of chipping or swelling. The single flute, mirror-polished to reduce thermal friction, prevents plastic from clogging and melting. It is the ideal tool for CNC routing and profiling of thin sheets in PMMA (Plexiglas), PVC, polycarbonate (PC), ABS, NYLON, and polyethylene (PE), as well as layered plastic materials.
