GFRP End Mill with End Cut

Designed for machining fibrous composite materials, this front-cutting end mill delivers outstanding performance in contouring, trimming and profile milling applications. Thanks to its front cut geometry, the tool can plunge directly into the workpiece, enabling true axial entry.

This configuration allows multiple machining operations, including ramp milling, full-slot pocketing and peripheral trimming, to be completed in a single setup. The result is a more efficient machining process, shorter cycle times and greater production flexibility.

The cutting performance is concentrated along the peripheral diameter, where the tool can be tailored to suit specific machining requirements through three different tooth configurations

  • Fine: ideal for thin laminates and premium surface finishes.
  • Medium: the most versatile option, offering the perfect balance between material removal and surface quality.
  • Coarse: engineered for maximum chip clearance and high machining rates on thicker composite sections.

The specially developed peripheral micro-geometry effectively pulverises glass fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP), fibreglass and laminated composite panels, significantly reducing cutting forces while virtually eliminating delamination and fibre fraying.

Ideal for CNC machining centres and CNC routers.
