This range has been specifically engineered to make full use of the mechanical properties of solid carbide and to overcome the toughness and extreme elasticity of aramid fibres. Our HPC 4-flute Up&Down end mills with alternating chip breaker geometry provide a definitive solution for machining Kevlar without delamination.
Unlike conventional composite materials, Kevlar fibres tend to bend rather than fracture. The special alternating micro-serration creates a cross-cutting action that traps and cleanly severs the filaments, preventing the tool from dragging or fraying the material.
Available in a range of lengths to suit different material thicknesses.
