HPC Up&Down Cutter for CFRP Milling

Our HPC Up&Down end mills for carbon fibre represent the highest level of engineering for trimming and contouring multilayer composite panels. Manufactured from ultra-fine micrograin carbide, they are engineered to machine even the most abrasive composite materials with maximum reliability and process stability.

This compression geometry generates converging cutting forces that compress the fibres towards the centre of the material during machining, resulting in a flawless finish completely free from burrs and delamination on both surfaces of the panel.

To withstand the destructive abrasive action of carbon fibre, the entire range is supplied as standard with our high-thickness Cer-DM CVD diamond coating. Featuring a microstructure of pure synthetic diamond deposited by chemical vapour deposition, Cer-DM provides unrivalled surface hardness, significantly reducing cutting-edge wear and extending tool life.
